APACHE TALISMAN FCS
Andrea Boldrini's top of the line lace-up shoe.
Highly technical, it offers great versatility of use. With a perfect homogenous fit thanks to its new structure combined with the control of the raw materials used.
The new rubber structures and tensions allow for outstanding precision and support and provide free movement of the metatarsus. The upper has been designed to allow both tight or loose fits (scrunched toes or flat toes!) without pressure point thanks to the seams or material overlapping.
This model benefits from the Boldrini asymmetric lace up system that has proved its efficiency for years.
The “Full Contact Sole” (FCS) innovation provides new sensations, a new concept that will (according to Boldrini) be a "revolution" in climbing.
Where it shines: Highly versatile. Sport climbing, multi pitch routes, crack climbing, overhanging rock, and micro-edge face climbing.

I haven’t been able to get much climbing in lately due to some finger injuries but I finally managed to get some time outdoors last weekend.
The shoes feel good and tight. There’s a little bit of pain in my right big toe when climbing but it’s nothing debilitating and I am sure it will get better as the shoes will probably stretch out a little bit.
They feel great on the wall and I felt very comfortable and confident in them straight away which is a first for me in rock climbing shoes. They seem to edge really well but I haven’t pushed into any harder climbing on them yet so I can’t comment too much on their performance. Will be interesting to see how they go on overhangs as well as vertical faces.
Once my fingers get better and I get onto some harder routes I’ll let you know what I think of them but the early impressions are good!
Thanks for all your help and for sourcing the shoes.
